Veryant, the COBOL and Java technology innovator, today introduced Scala4 Solutions Business Unit - Veryant Northern Europe (Veryant NE) as the newest distributor of Veryant's isCOBOL Evolve in the Nordic and UK regions.
Veryant NE will focus on modernising COBOL based distributed applications in Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland and the United Kingdom. It is a software house working in Cobol which delivers IT services to several sectors (Energy, Logistics, Finance, Publishing and Distribution), and specialises in application development, COBOL legacy modernisation, data management, and platform administration. Veryant NE has extensive experience and a network of partners, and has identified that organizations want to realise the highest business value possible from their existing investments in IT infrastructure and application software. Increasing costs of COBOL licenses have inhibited the implementation of new technologies thus stopping the introduction of Web based solutions.
